Kiting Leash
I am new to the sport and seen people have leashes attached. And I was wondering how they work? And where would be a good place to purchase one?

If you're snowkiting, you shouldn't lose the board...

Well i know you aren't going to lose the board, but I guess what I see in videos is a cord going from the kite to the harness. Is that something different then a leash?

That sounds like a kite leash. I guess it depends on the type of kite you're flying on the snow. If we're going to use Ozone as an example, I know that the Instinct (water kite, SLE) has a leash, so if you pull the safety release on the chcken loop, you're attached to the front lines via the leash (what it sounds like you're talking about from the videos), then there should be a safety release on the leash to completely cut away from the kite. With the Frenzy and Access (at least the 06 ones), there's no leash, the first safety releases the front lines (same as pulling the safety on the water, except instead of being connected to the front lines, you're connected to the back lines). Basically, the leash is required for the SLE since you kll the power differently on an SLE than on a foil. Maybe what I'm trying to say is, get a frenzy or access, no leash required, it's built in as part of the chicken loop
