Post subject:  Northstar Snowkite Park, Swede Lake Minnesota
Lately the northstar kiteboarding crew has been putting a lot of work into getting our terrain park up and running for this year. So far we have a few rails in place, with a lot more on the way! Here are some pics of what we have set up so far.

32' up-flat rail, with a down to come later in the season, to be a total of 48' up flat down!

Super fun flat box set up so you can gap on/off, or use the sides as a spine-

Also we have a 6' long 18" wide for begginers that will also be coming out, and who knows what else?

The park is located on Swede Lake, which is in Watertown, MN. It is a free access park, and we would love the company of other riders with us. For more information, check out our website-

Man!!!! It sound so nice down there.
I have one question though. What material do you use to make your boxes? I have looked so........hard to find the material but came up short. right now i'm building a snowkite rail out of pvc and should turn out good!

be careful of using PVC, because your edges are metal, your edges will dig right into that soft plastic! It has happened to me before more that once.

We are also having trouble finding the right plastic for the boxes, and when we do, its a completely rediculous number like $600 for an 8X4 sheet! So what we are using is masonite for now, and experimenting with some plastic decking material. Post up some pics once your done with that rail!

Today my brother brought home like eight 2 by 4ft. chopping boards from work and we are going to make a big box out of them! they are very slipery and they were also free. it should turn out well.

ONE OBSTACLE........UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES! Nathan and I were out shoveling at the park today shaping our newest feature at the park. It is a table top quater pipe kicker c-rail rainbow rail hip spine and who knows what else all mixed into one. Works for all wind directions, some better than others, but heres some pics of it!

Nathan proving there are truly unlimited possibilities for this.....we tested jumping it with the snowmobile, snowboards, snowskates, and sure enough, shovels, and was fun for all of them!
