Post subject: | VT vs. MN for week's speed... |
There is a clear overall winner when one region has had unseasonably warm temps and little snow and another has been blessed (depending on your perspective) with 2 FEET of snow. We congratulate Mike Winter for getting his personal best speed and moving to the top of the list and week's win with a run of 58.0mph on White Bear Lake, MN. He wins some Himaya Sun Protection - useful as we move into spring. See the whole and growing list at And though the numbers were not the same, the achievement is there to eek as many mph as possible out of 8-10kts and lots of snow. The winner of the Kitestorm Speed Contest and the Peter Lynn Scorpion 13m kite ready to fly was Paul Morse from Maine. See the results and reports from the Kitestorm contest and event at Thanks to Peter Lynn http://www.peterlynnproducts.com for the kite to hand out to the speediest of Kitestorm - even though the top speeds were relatively slow, the riding was amazing and the challenge in seeing how each tenth of a mile per hour could be squeezed out of the breeze and snow. Think snow, rzm http://www.stormboarding.com |
