Kitestorm 2007 - thank you partners and riders
We figure a lot of snowkiters in the northeast have been very good to their families for the last few weeks as, despite somewhat scary forecasts before the event, the weekend was gorgeous - bright sun, steady Northerly and lots of snow. Saturday was the better day breeze-wise with 8-12 over the day and at one point 80 kites on the ice. Numbers-wise there were around 500+ snowkiters and spectators over the weekend.
The photo contest is still open and we have been getting some incredible shots. The deadline is March 16 with the winners announced and posted on on Monday March 19.
We have some important people and partners to thank for helping hook riders up with kites to fly and lots and lots of great prizes.

Our crew of incredibly enthusiastic, fun and competent family and friends who slave away before and throughout the weekend to make sure everyone is safe, registered, taught and full of chocolate chip cookies.
And of course the several hundred riders who drive and fly from north, south, east and west to share a great sport.
Thank you all again. Enjoy the rest of the season (we're psyched for the bonus hours of riding we get from the early daylight savings change), have a great summer and if we do not see you before, we hope to see you at Kitestorm 2008 - the 5th year of the event.
Think snow,
