Post Snowkiting - kitesurfing(summer)/ Beginner
Hi everyone!

I am seriously considering starting kiting sport. But I have never done it before. So my question is: Can you snowkite and kiteboard(kitesurfing) in summer with the same kite equipement. :?: If you can, what kind of kites suits the best for this option. May be someone can already suggest kite for this need.
Ofcourse I understand that I have to go to proffesional trainer and try it first before I buy my own equipment, but I wanted a bit of info first.

Thanks in advance! :D

Hope you have found the info you were looking for already and sorry for the late reply. Most of us are on water forums and the feats of last years snowkiting exploits are just fond memories save some of us down in New Zealand.

But yes water and snow equipment can be the same, or rather is the same when you chose inflatable kites. If you choose foils for snow, you will most likely have to purchase inflatables for the water.

My personal recommendation is to not use foils on the water. Inflatables just work better for that use. Especially when you are a beginner. That said, I always use foils on the snow for their superior suitability to snow and land conditions.
