Kiteskis
I posted the story on Bjorn's ProModel Kiteskis on the front page. As far as I know, they'r the only ones available. I know the old straight-edge skis are a favorite because they have lots of area to edge against. Bjorn's idea is that some contour is good for helping edge away from the kite. I'm not a kiteskier, but I know I'm constantly riding upwind... downwind an easy direction to head. This begs the question, aren't most modern skis contoured and better for upwind riding. What, again, is the real advantage to old straight-edge skis? Speed in a straight line?

These skiis are really sick. I saw Bjorn with them up at Haggin for the Rodeo and talked to the designer about them. He can adjust the flex to suit the riders needs. I just wish I had the cash to pony up for a new pair.

$$$$
Yeah, I saw on the site that they're around $900 Canadian. Pretty steep. Anyone out there (except Bjorn) own a pair?
