First congrats to John Zietlow and Joe Levins both of Minnesota for winning the last 2 weeks of the Snowkite speed contest. They went 58.3 and 56.8 mph respectively both on skis. Week 5 was a big week with fast GPS max speeds from Minnesota to New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. John won a Dakine hat and Joe is getting hooked up with some Himaya sunscreen. Next week's speediest will win a Dakine MP3 case. See the whole and growing list at http://www.stormboarding.com/speedranking0708.html and do not be shy...this week the usual speedsters will be riding on a lot of snow (not fast) so you never know who might take this week. My offshore expeditions are over for the season so I will be able to get back on schedule for the speed contest... weeks run from Monday-the end of Sunday. Please submit your speed by the end of Monday and I will post the results on Tuesday. The first Girlstorm was great fun with 8 great girls and new snow.
