Nice. Where is this? The surrounding terrain looked like it had the right mixture of rolling terrain and agressive hill/mountainsides. Were you alone there? |

This spot is close to Fairfield, ID. I was alone. Many access points to get here depending on ability level. Very good upwind skills are a must. The valley stretches for miles upwind of this spot. I just starting exploring this area and am finding many, many features that work well. These areas work in west winds. All of our climbing is usually done on east winds because most of our mountains face east so I feel this will open up a new world for gliding and exploration. I ran an event this season called "Kite Soldiers" Next year, I would like to use this location for the 2nd annual Kite Soldiers. The spot is very hard to find but perhaps the event next year will allow everyone to enjoy it. |
