Re: What do you think of Deuce Snowboards?
Hi Snowkiters,
We at Deuce think we have a great product for snowkiting, and we look forward to developing it with the community.
Eric, thanks for starting this thread and asking some good questions:
Edging: the core design concept is all about making a snowboard that has the same edge power as ski's, and our DES definitely provides that.
Turn via leaning: You got it. This is very responsive, which is part of the reason why we went from a snowboard sidecut of 8m to parabolic ski sidecut of 14m.
No lower leg stress: The classic snowboard doesn't want to be on edge and fights it, which you feel as stress in your ankles. Our DES doesn't have a preferred orientation. It just does as your feet tell it.
You are correct that the low launch volume is part of the reason for the price. The riders that we must reach first are those that want to be first, and it will be clear for years to come from these first DES' that you were one of the first.
However, we just started a unique opportunity to get your own X-2 at a lower price. We have just posted a refurbished X-2 on ebay. This board was ridden just a few times as part of our initial production validation. This is a good opportunity for those of you that want to get onto an X-2 at a lower price. Be advised that the bidding closes Monday morning. If you are interested in seeing DES develop, please tell your friends about the auction as well. This of course assumes you aren’t going to bid yourself
