Well weather is finally coming our way and the GTO is about to begin. December 5-7 2008 Georgetown lake is frozen and a group of kiters enjoyed flying on saturday 29th of november. The ice is solid and the snow is falling. The event will introduce many new and exciting companies as well as competitions. Big air, kiter cross, rail comps and demos from the leading kite manufacturers. This is a fund raising event for the Granite county Search and Rescue. At the event site there will be medics, rescue clinics, warm food and drinks, and even a massage therapist for cramped and tired muscles. Everyone is invited to share in the snowkiting experience that Montana winters are famous for. See you there. |

Good luck with the event! I hope a lot of kiters come out to support your weekend festivities. I found this link and was stoked to see snow on the camera... http://rwis.mdt.mt.gov/scanweb/swframe. ... enType=All Where ever you Snowkite this weekend...we should all join together in a nationwide ski-burn sacrifice to get the snow gods to put more white stuff down... as we are severely lacking the deep base we are accustomed to riding on in the Rockies at this time of the season. Let it snow!! Windzup, Brian Schenck |

Looking forward to the event, I hope these lil fronts kick in and produce some fluff. I'm just praying there will be something besides solid ice...something about "busting" my @ss open on a kiteloop 2 ice grind. also, We had a buddy do a last minute bailout , so we have an extra room in phillipsburg if anyone needs a place to stay. |

[quote="Windzup"] ..we should all join together in a nationwide ski-burn sacrifice to get the snow gods to put more white stuff down... I hope your speaking metaphorically!! The shit they put in skis these days would definitely not help it snow!! Its falling pretty well in VT, only high altitude lakes frozen this early, though... |
