Yt35,
When you say 'depower' can you explain exactly what's happening with the kite? Does it 'sink' back into the wind window slightly or collapsing completely?

Re: help with reverse control bar power
Hmm... Well, if the kite sinks back into the wind window slightly (a few degrees back from directly overhead) when you pull back on the control bar, it sounds like it is functioning properly. By pulling on the control bar, you're increasing the angle of the kite relative to the wind... This causes additional drag and the kite sinks backwards.
It's tough to tell for sure without actually seeing someone use the kite.
Where are you located? I can try to put you in contact with someone who can check it out in person.
