Slinshot B4 or HQ Scout 4m
Hi kiters,
I would like to read any comments about these two kites: Slingshot B4 (4m) and HQ Scout 4m.
Which one is better? Which one will you buy and why?
Which one will you buy if you were me? I am beginner, and weight around 145 lbs (65 kgs).
Thanks

Re: Slinshot B4 or HQ Scout 4m
I own a B4 and I think for the money it's a great kite. Good power for a 4 meter and awesome, forgiving handling. It's got a third line for landing and relaunch, which generally works quite well. The kite itself is very well made and has stood up to some nasty crashes. I have snowkited with it in moderate winds and it works very well, although you need to be on fairly hard packed snow for it to pull you. FYI, I weigh around 180 lbs. The only issue I have had with this kite is the small metal ring that holds the bar to the chicken loop assembly broke free from the bottom of the bar. It was easily repaired. This break occured, however, after a lot of snowkiting and jumping, which obviously tests components to the max.
I can't comment on the HQ Scout, but I have owned a few HQ kites and they are well made, good flying kites. Perhaps a Scout owner will weigh in on this.
Hope this helps.
