PASA Snowkite ICP April 14th through 18th, 2006

Location: Anaconda, Montana

5-Day PASA Snowkite Instructor Certification Course
Fee: $500.00 per person ( This fee does not include CPR, First Aid or the annual professional membership dues )

If you have already gone through a PASA Kiteboarding instructor certification course, and your PASA dues are up to date, the course fee is reduced to $300.00 (Proof of certification and current PASA professional membership required)

PASA professional membership (Current dues necessary for course participation)
Annual Dues:$150.00

Onsite lodging and meals (Breakfast, lunch snack, dinner):
$80.00 per day/person x 5 days = $400.00

If needed, on the night of April 13th lodging is available for $40.00 per person

This course needs a minimum of 4 participants to take place.


Items to bring:

- Pen and paper, clipboard
- Snowkite gear to ride for yourself (incl. Helmet, goggles, etc.)
- Wicking long undergarments, warm snow clothes
- If you have kite gear you teach with, bring it
- Sun Block


Below is more information on the PASA Snowkite Instructors Certification:

PASA Level I Snowkiting ICP:

This 5-Day certification course is designed for snowkiters desiring to become Level 1 PASA certified snowkiting instructors.
Prerequisites for this course are the ability to kite upwind, perform advanced turns, maintain control in most wind conditions and perform simple jumps.

This course takes an instructor candidate through kite and instruction theory, kite rigging and repair, a basic understanding of weather and its effects on kiting, school site evaluation, emergency recovery systems as well as effective teaching and communication tools.

The mix of theory and hands on teaching gives the instructor candidate the skills necessary to become a safe, competent and communicative snowkiting instructor.

To receive your Level I PASA instructor certificate you must submit current CPR and First Aid certificates to the PASA administrator after the ICP. (Approved Courses available through Red Cross and American Heart Assoc.)

The cost of the PASA ICP course is $500.00.
(This fee does not include CPR, First Aid or the annual professional membership dues of $150.00)

You will need to bring some of what you snowkite with such as; snowboard or skies, a kite or two, appropriate snowkite clothing, goggles, helmet. There will be trainer kites available to use during the “hands onâ€
