I'm just hoping people don't fly kites in PA becuase its just not a good kite area, which means I'm a complete retard. I hope more that people just over looked kiting here, which means I'm a genius.

I don't snowkite PA. But I'd be willing to try if you get enough snow. I do know how it feels to be a lonely kiter... It's in times like these that good local contacts & forums come in handy... How close are you to Buffalo, NY? I know there are some guys who snowkite on the shores of Lake Erie... somewhere near an old toxic waste dump (no joke). |

I'm in south east PA, Philly area. So, its a bit of a hike. Yeah, local fourms are nice. I don't see why more people don't fly kites in my area. |

Yeah, this is the question that I was asking last year in North Dakota... now there are a dozen snowkiters and growing rapidly, just within my local town. Try what I did when I didn't have any kiting buddies; teach everyone who'll give you a time of day how to kite. Pretty soon, your "students" will be teaching their friends... you'll show up to a park and someone stanger will have a trainer in the air---and you'll find out that they got it from your buddies. I'm looking to get into snowkiting, I kitesurf, and definitely want to take advantage of the winter. Where do you go to go kiting? I've got a couple places in mind, but I haven't gotten the chance, and it hasn't snowed yet!  I'm about 35 minutes from philly, so it's not that far either.

I live in the Lansdale area, about 35 minutes from Philly too. I'm not really sure where I'm going to snowkite yet, but I fly for fun at a school near me, its got huge fields I could snowkite on. |
