Post Pre Season Prep
Hey guys-
I see there is snow falling in some parts of the USA this week...everyone dusting off their snow gear?

How do you guys prep physically for the new season, fitness wise? I know about getting the gear ready but are there any specific exercises you do to get ready for the season?

God knows i need to get more in shape!

some things i was thinking about starting was some stretches every morning so i can be more flexible for grabs and tweaks, but also for crashes haha

I'm a Professional Instructor so I spend everyday possible day kiting, and am very serious about preparing my body for our sport.

My routine:
I run for at least 1/2 hour 5 days a week and put some time in with weights too: Monday Chest, Tuesday Shoulders/Legs, Wednesday Upper-Back, Thursday Arms and Friday Lower-Back and Core.

Even if you don't plan on kiting a lot, exercise should be a part of everyone's lifestyle to remain healthy and fit.

Cool. I try to stay in shape regardless of what I'm doing. I don't have time to get to the gym much, so I end up doing some simple push ups, crunches, squat and/or jumps, etc before bed.

Helps with my flying career too! I don't like to run a whole lot because that can hurt your G-tolerance. I bike a little and use kite jumps like resistance sprints instead haha

Just keep the cardio up at your comfort level, Like most board sports most of the injuries will come from being too tight. Flexibility keeps you loose but more importantly its strengthens your joints; keeping them in place during crashes. Pretty much any full body stretch routine should suffice. Mind you I keep very active, year round.
