I find myself in the Adirondacks this weekend... (lecturing at the Museum of Natural History) giant open lakes (much more frozen than ours in Vermont), deep snow... and no wind whatsoever!! but what potential! anyone out there (on here) kiting out here? I hope to be able make it back out here with some wind. |

The south side of Sandbar has been VERY nice for the last several days. Saturday was sweet with winds at 22 knots and 6" of pow. The North side is a different story, so stay south! |

was that you I saw out there on my way home yesterday? looked like fun! I was begging my family to let me get out and gear up for a bit (of course I had kite and board in car)... but we had a cranky 2 year old and my lady wasn't so into the idea of sitting in a freezing car to 'watch'! ...next time i'll join you! |

There were 7 kiters out there. I was on the grey/red Frenzy 10. You should have stopped! |

Yeah- it had already been a long trip. I'm not sure if it was you- I think the kite was red(?) We didn't get off the ferry until maybe 3:30 or so... there was one kiter out there. |

Where is Sandbar? Sometimes I go on Lake Colby in Saranac Lake. My parents live up there so I'm not super familiar. |

Sorry for the confusion RipTide- Sandbar is VT side of Lake Champlain- I passed it on my way home from the 'Daks. You should go there to check out KiteStorm in February- demos, races, party, etc! |

I live on the Great Sacandaga Lake, North Broadalbin, just down the road/beach from Sand Island Kites actually. |
