Tried flying my kite for the first time today
I am new to kiting of any sort and recently picked myself up a HQ Scout II 4m to practice on and learn the techniques of flying a kite. My goal is to be able to snowkite at some point once I am comfortable and use the scout as my heavier wind kite.
Anyways today was the first chance I have had to try and fly it, sadly there was not enough wind to keep it in the sky. I guess I will just have to see what tomorrow brings.

Went out again yesterday with the kite and had a blast. Wind was not all that consistant but i feel like i was getting the hang of it and understanding the window. I can say i am hooked, i had a blast and cant wait to get out there again.

Same way I started out a few years back. Keep at it and feel free to ask any questions here on this forum.

Thanks for the response. Is there anyone around New London NH who kites? I have been watching tons of videos on kiting and have learned a ton from those but would love to watch and get some pointers from others.

Re: Tried flying my kite for the first time today
I have been flying the kite as much as possible recently. Tried it out with skies the other day on sunapee and had a blast. Not the most consistent wind and never gusting past 13mph but I got moving along decently well. I feel like I now have a pretty good understand of how everything works, now I just need to practice and get better.
